Dark Night Fantasy

Dark Night Fantasy

A Poem by Caradoc
"

A poem from the days of hopeless romanticism...

"

The day goes by

And I feel a chill

I see her there

And I grow still

What is this feeling?

Love or Obsession

What has she done…

To me…

My heart beats fast

And my blood ignites

Every time she smiles

When I see her eyes

I feel so low

So dirty and wrong

For feeling this way…

For her…

She is my sin

My want, my lust

And I think of her

Long past the dusk

She has made me

So lost and forlorn

She will never feel…

For me…

Twilight is gone

Only night remains

Yet she’s still here

As my soul’s deep pain

Now I pass through the shadows

Wayward and wondering

I can still see her light…

It’s there….

If I tried my best to love her

Would she feel the same for me?

Could I hold her close and kiss her

More than a Dark Night Fantasy...

Feeling the lack of a muse, so I decided to share this one.

I think a lot of us can relate to the feelings and thoughts in this one.. to have such deep feelings for someone and wonder if they feel the same, if it would be enough.. that lust.. that desire.. I like the note you ended it on.. to see what you want.. to know its bright light is shining for all to see.. to enjoy its sparkling beauty.. and to hope... to wonder... to wish... to dream that they could one day, be more than a haunting fantasy... bittersweet and beautiful.. it tugs on the heartstrings.. nicely done.

Whoah. Definitely obsession. But I like this poem. It's eerie and dark, so if that is what you were aiming for, then you nailed it.

I like this one. To turn the dark sin into something more.

I think I wrote it sometime in 2006. It's one of two that I penned.
