Ha, I love your errant thoughts... Haven't I said that a dozen times already? Lol...
Anyway, this one does make me question where heartache comes from, and how much of it you create yourself... And if you break your own heart vs let someone else do so, how does that feel different? Which leads me to... Which, if either, can you control?

Heartache and love go hand in hand it seems, and I think neither can really be controlled to any great extent, save for complete isolation from human contact. And even then, one would end up turning those feelings to a pet, a garden, or even a cherished teacup. I believe we are designed to love and it is something most, if not all of us will feel eventually. And because all things end, heartache inevitably follows.

I tend to be, what's the phrase, long winded. I've always enjoyed longer works, both reading and writing them. One day I will write an epic poem. However, due to the urging of a good friend of mine, Belle, I began to pour out short pieces like this one.

The idea behind many of my short pieces are indeed errant thoughts. I just have to take a few moments to polish them up and find the right words to get the idea across.

Thank you Rob. I try to stick with the formula Belle gave me for the short writes. 20 words or less and be concise and to the point. They're almost snippets of philosophical phrases. At least, that's what I try to make them.
