The silence I wish to breach An eagerness that drives me on Sleepless nights tossing and turning In this house of cards and glass windows I wish would crumble, I wish would break From all the stones I've thrown thus far
And even in the early morning light I struggle for air To douse the fire inside that burns And burns though I do not die
How long can this agony last?
Struggling with this endless fascination A desire, always for what was never mine How to grasp the stars without scorching my soul, Does anyone out there know? Who can tell me how the story ends? When even angels lack the syllables necessary to sing
And I, a lonely child at night Waiting for the solitude, my only friend to return That we two may wonder and wander 'neath the moonlight So cold, that fractures become the joy we seek Raindrops falling down the jagged walls of the choices we made
A loving heart wounded by faith, mishandled, torn Hoping for the sunlight to come back to it Washing away all that dark, sealing the shattered fragments And yet I wait, throwing my attentions to the wind Searching, longing, hungering...for something I had
But was it really mine? Or merely another someone that was never mine to hold Like the last grain of sand slipping through the hourglass So many have there been that I wonder
Be cured or not
life always does keeps up of our choices
the waves of side effects
causing to stir every emotions
from every fiber of our heart
what we've lost or what we try to attain
must be worthy of our presence
if not, then we head to something else
to go on living…
be dead and be alive
that’s how we survive
we are our own cure.
- faceless being.

I don't know... Do you really want to find the cure? It is such a damning bliss we live... The world finds genius in obsession. We idolize it. It is required to succeed in modern culture. A great poem!

Maybe not a cure but do it enough and you will be vaccinated. :) I am sorry. It sucks, I know, and whether it is us or a fictional character, the pain is real.

Indeed. A vaccination does sound good though. Thanks KL, for reading and reviewing. :)
