'Round and 'RoundA Poem by Captivating InkDizzyThe world goes ‘round and ‘round The ones suffering most never making a sound. Perhaps they’re too innocent to notice the disaster Or perhaps they do not care at all, their heart made of plaster. Is that what your heart is really made of, my dear? As you turned a deaf ear? You ignored my pleas begging you to stay And left me standing in the rain with nothing to say. It doesn’t matter anymore, though As I sit here and watch the blood flow. My copper liquid intermingles with others The screams that are piercing are very soon smothered. I miss you, I miss you, I sing with my last breath. Bet you weren’t expecting this to end in death. I wasn’t either, I must admit But it’s easier this way, to submit. The world still goes ‘round and ‘round Despite the troubling growing mound Of the people who were left by people And gave up, their hearts too feeble. © 2012 Captivating InkAuthor's Note
