What am I to do, with this life I have lost.

Ive thrown it away, at what but a small cost.

He says yes my sun, these words are true.

But wait a bit longer, there's more for you.

I say with what I have left, there's not much more hope.

My life is not worth, nothing more than some dope.

These lies you say, hurt you less than all others.

So he says, as he looks at his young brothers.

You need to say, what words are all true.

See you life is now, something brand new.

I look in disbelief, as I raise up my one hand.

My words mean nothing more, than something ungrand.

Words are meaningless, its actions that matter.

He starts to say, as he watches the first batter.

Your life will get better, just give it some time.

Don’t stop now, or commit a violent crime.

 

Now ive abided by, these words you said.

So leave me alone, leave me for the dead.

Hey my sun, you can’t go like that.

You’ll miss this next guy, he’s up to bat.

Now watch I’m close, he’ll say not one word.

And still hit that ball, all the way past third.

I know all you wanted was a hug and a kiss.

And yet all you got, was a swing and a miss.

Don’t give up now, there’s still two more balls.

If you take them right, you’ll get over the walls.
