Paranoia and Reality...

Paranoia and Reality...

A Poem by Captain Rilen

All eyes on you,
though none are at all.
If this continues to be true,
I will let my focus fall.

I've the capacity for madness,
it's chattering my teeth.
My mind's receding,
to the noise underneath.

Does it not feel bleak?
Under destiny's ambiguous cheek.
Denying anything complete.
The treacherous little sneak.

If only I could take a peak,
at a world less meek.
Something to strive for,
A goal that I may seek.

Very nice imagery..
The entwining of reality and paranoia left me enthralled..
The depth just kept increasing with every word..
Very well penned..!

Thanks for reading, I'm glad you liked it
Amazing. Kirk, the more I read of you the deeper you get. The second verse especially cuts really close home. Fear and desperation eat away at our minds but don't give up - Even Chopin had good days. :) Keep smiling.
