Borrowed Smile

Borrowed Smile

A Poem by Captain Rilen

A sweet smile,
with an interrupting gaze.
Leave me to drown,
in this beautiful haze.

My hands start to jitter,
a shiver shakes my back.
Her eyes seem to glitter,
My heart's been attacked.

If only I were brave,
I would say something witty.
Instead I retreat into my cave,
fearing people so pretty.

Although I've let this moment pass,
I still feel rather content.
Though her smile will not last,
I know that it's only been lent.

Great poem. It might be scary, but if a girl smiles at you it's usually for a reason.

So sweet! I love this poem! Well done Kirk. I don't think you need fear if she's smiling at you. :)
