Polluted Nighttime Sea

Polluted Nighttime Sea

A Poem by Captain Rilen
"

Sometimes our own eyes are treacherous...

"
Sailing this sea,
On the edge of humanity.

Not too far,
we don't want to tip.
The water needs no tar,
don't let any slip.

The voices of ghosts,
fade away in the distance.
This is my hour,
This is my existence.

Body so pale,
life drained from me.
Still refuse to be frail,
this is no end to me.

Hear me whisper,
wait for my roar.
Though now I tiptoe,
my fingertips touch the door.

Oh pearlescent sea,
stop reflecting me,
stop reflecting us,
just let us be!

It replied to me,
with uncertainty and glee.
I'll let you be,
when you open your eyes free,
then you'll truly see...

This is your hour and your existence Kirk. Absolutely inspirational poem. Open your eyes free, then you'll truly see... Though sirens tempting call there are real hearts that care. Keep smiling Kirk. Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem. :)

Quite a unique way for summing up how it feels to be lost without an anchor. Frankly, I am a sucker for all poems related to the sea or the ocean...love this one as well! :))

To be drowning in your own sea of trouble, while looking for a rope.. don't we all find ourselves wishing our eyes were focused only on the good things?
Always a pleasure reading your words :D
