An Overdue Farewell

I miss you,

More than I can bare.

Your soft scent,

Your loving stare.

 

It feels as if,

I can still see you there.

Still touch your warm hand,

And put my own through your hair.

 

You're right by me now,

Your skin so fair.

Your taste so sweet,

Showing me that you care.

 

Now you are long gone,

It gives me quite a scare.

For I know that love,

Is incredibly rare.
