Raindrops

Raindrops

A Poem by Captain Chris
"

Short piece about the glow of a person newly in love.

"

Raindrops.

Raindrops fall on the open sea,

An eagle flies with a dove,

The cold wind blows through the city trees,

And nobody knows I’m in love.

People on trains stare out of the windows,

Counting the clouds above,

Actors in theatres put on their shows,

And nobody knows I’m in love.

But an old bag lady pushing a cart,

Dressed in odd shoes and gloves,

Smiles back at me as we pass on the street

And instantly knows I’m in love.

sometimes others really dont know we are ion love, but i do like the way you brought the bag lady into it, and could see you were, maybe certain people can see and others cant, i think the same is for sensing when people are sad, but pretend they arent,

keep writing my friend, you know i will always read.

We always expect the fact that we are in love to be written all over our faces, but only those that have the time to stop and look around can really see it.

This is interesting! I loved it! I like the way you took someone whom is simple and made her the one who can see right through you. That is so true. Good imagry and sweet message. the line "nobody knows I'm in love" caught me off guard but in a good way. Great work!

I LOVED this. A lot. The irony & beauty of this poem was fantastic, as well as your representation of love. I really liked the line, "An eagle flies with a dove". Amazing. :)

Amazing.
I had to think about it a bit, but I have to agree,
that's what it is.
Nobody ever notices except the old.
They just know =]=]=].

Beautiful poem about a beautiful feeling that is sometimes unexplainable.
