I wrote a poem today
wanted to call you,
all excited

 

thought it best to wait
buy my phone right there
so tempting

 

I wanted to tell you
you make me happy inside
you inspire me

 

you've lit something inside
my dark soul,
scarred from sorrow

 

I saw you this morning
you made my whole day
a smile I could not hide
