I fear the still times

written 2-20-09, inspired by the other poem i wrote today

I fear the still times
it's when the darkness comes

 

I stay at work as long as I can
chatting it up with friends until the end,
of their shifts

 

Forced to go home
the closer I drive
the more the expression drains from my face
and the more the sadness fills me

 

I fear the still times,
its when the darkness comes out

 

It's when the gun,the chin, and the brain explodes

 

I feel the still times
