I would have

I would have

A Poem by CaptainSceptic
"

A sonnet, romantic theme with angsty nuances

"
Shall I lose my head, trying to make sense,
of the way you come and go, fleetingly
If you think you'll catch me off-guard you're dense
And if I love I do so secretly

In the dead of night, I yearn for your touch
Left frost scars like love bites peppered across
Fingers on my skin drag out a blush
I feel so helpless, pinned on a white cross

It’s a warm night, my icy demeanor chips
I’m waiting for spring so I can forget
Sharing cold feet and even colder lips
Say that if I forget I can’t regret

I’ll see you soon, sooner than you think, see
I’m moving up north so just wait for me
