Troubles of an Aspiring WriterA Poem by CaptainBillthe hard partTroubles of an Aspiring Writer by Captain Bill I used to think that the story was the hard part. I thought editing was work. Those were good. Family and friends, that’s where the trouble is. ‘Don’t write about Billy. He won’t like it.’ ‘You can’t write that! That’s family business.’ ‘You can’t write about sex, everyone will think you are talking about me.’ ‘Don’t write about Chinese people, you make us look bad. Write about someone else.’ ‘People are nervous about you. They think you are going to write about them.’ ‘You can write about me. My Chinese name is Ga-ming.’ © 2013 CaptainBillReviews
