Reaching Out to You

Reaching Out to You

A Poem by Jessica L Auster

I'm reaching out to you, baby.

Grab hold of my hand please,

Because it's the only feeling I have of being

Close.

I love you... now touch me,

Please.

I'm reaching out to you, baby.

I haven't heard your voice in a while.

I miss the sounds and sights of you.

It's been almost a month.

And I keep reaching out to you, baby.

Can you look at me like you used to?

Let me hold you until we leave this earth.

I'll always be reaching for you, baby....

Drink me in.

short...but not short of strong emotions...i liked the flow...the longing, the yearning portrayed perfectly...can feel how it is...
"I'm reaching out to you, baby.

I miss the sounds and sights of you."

"And I keep reaching out to you, baby.
Can you look at me like you used to?
Let me hold you until we leave this earth."

I liked it. ('specially cause it was short :])
But it was cute.

I liked this poem a lot. I love how it flowed line to line and i enjoyed it . Expect the very ending the 'Drink me in' part it i felt like it didn't belong there like something else should be in the ending instead of the 'drink me in' i just don't feel that it fits in the poem. Besides that as i said i enjoyed it and its a nice poem.
