to my best friend

 

Oh Sally,

You’ve been with me through the thick and thin,

And you truly are amazing.

 

There have been a few rough patches here and there,

But what matters is our friendship,

And the almost sisterly bond we share.

 

It’s almost like fate brought us to one another

In August 1999,

So from that, our friendship grew.

 

It grew larger than life,

And it’s sure to grow a lot more.

I can safely say that you’re my best friend,

 

And I couldn’t ask for someone new.
