Drew

Drew

A Poem by Jessica L Auster

There once was a bunny named Drew

Who wished he was in the loo.

A smile arose across his face,

But he soon was hit with a rather large mace,

Now Drew only says boo hoo hoo.

While I consider your attempt admirable--not many around here will even try the limerick--the beat isn't quite right. Line one is dead on. Line two needs another quick syllable at "in". The next two lines are about twice as long as needed. The final line is dead on again!

The trick with limericks is 30% rhythm, 30% rhyme, and 30% humor. I'd say you're right around 50%. Believe me, that's huge! Phenomenal! Keep at it chick-a-dee, you're on a fast track to greatness! (by the 12 of us on this site who like limericks. *sigh*)
