This Family

This Family

A Poem by Jessica L Auster

For eight long years, this family's come undone.

Stitch by stitch, year by year.

Another child has been left behind.

For eight long years, this family's come undone.

All this abuse is a never ending war.

More children are left behind.

For eight years, this family's come undone.

Autumn will welcome a change.

Interesting write I like how it made me think of president and other political things over the last eight years. So subtle and yet so direct. I love this one.

I had to read it three times to further appreciate the context of the poem.

It is deep, insightful, and when one understands the point being imparted, the message has been well imparted. The use of words and format has been chosen well.

This is a good piece.
