Writing Out

Writing Out

A Poem by Jessica L Auster
"

Knew I wasn't gonna be able to fall asleep without spitting out these emotions.

"

Only in dreams are we ever

alone.

I bother calling you a friend for what?

The satisfaction that I have someone, that's why.

I wanted to call you mine...

Only in dreams.

Six long days until I

See your face, James.

And boy have I been missing you.

Only in dreams are we ever

alone.

I don't write poetry but damn that was beautiful. It made me remember things best left forgotten and that we all imagine the perfect someone waitin for us...someday. Your isolation of the word alone is clever, keep at it please you have something great going for you in my eyes.
