Confusion

Confusion

A Poem by Jessica L Auster

I woke up this morning to more

confusion.

I woke up this morning to more

havoc.

I woke up this morning to more

questioning.

I had another dream last-night of

My peers

I had another dream last-night of

Seeing you in the crowds.

You are my one source of sanity,

And I haven't reached that point yet.

"you are my sugar rush"

And I'm not allowed to taste the candy.

I'm sorry if it did confuse you a little, and I'm sorry if it sounds weird with all the repitition.

Not much too say. I like the last part of it. I like the whole idea of it. I think you could loose yourself a little more. It sounds like you thinking too much. just write.

i didnt think it sounded weird. it is unusual but that is good. that is how we grow and i feel that the repetition added to it

Actually loved the repetition (an earlier poetic device, prior to rhyming verse). Suggests passion from afar, the desire for someone who is as close as the crowd but not quite close enough for your heart. Well done!

What I liked was the last stanza because it there you explain WHY you are confused. I liked it also because you did achieve giving the reader the feeling of being confused as he or she read this poem. Although...I would add more to this, not much, and ax the line about the peers and just focus on the guy as your source of confusion. This most be new, because I don't recall reading this one before. All in all, good work.-Catrina
