New Love

New Love

A Poem by Jessica L Auster

The butterflies are back

In my stomach, not my head.

They're out for another attack,

Not just because of something you said.

This is for sure,

Unlike him.

For the present, I don't want the cure.

Lets make the lights dim.

He was only a one time thing,

And I can see you aren't.

You make me want to go on the roof-tops and sing.

To you I will confess my love that is ardent.

You are my life, my fire,

And as much as it's been said, you are my desire.

The last two lines in this poem are great. 'You are my life, my fire, and as much as it's been said my desire.' It shows a great deal of passion in just two lines. I love it, great job Jessica!

Oh this was a really nice piece of romance! I could see the lights dimming and the woman realizing that the past was just a stupid hicup in love, and that the man that stood before here, was the right one.
Great Job!
And he must have been some wondeful guy, Cause i've never seen one get a girl to get up onto a roof top ann sing before! :)
