Are we lost?

Are we lost?

A Poem by Jessica L Auster

The lump in my throat is growing,
And you're not helping it go down.

I haven't spoken to you for almost a month,
And I'm fearing the memory is going to fade.

I'm losing the sight of your face,
And the sound of your voice.

I don't know where you are,
And to be honest, I'm scared to call.

Will it be enough to scream your name?
If you listen, will you hear me?

My dear friend,
Send your love to thee
