Love her like you said you would

Love her like you said you would

A Poem by Jessica L Auster

Love her like you said you would.
Poor sixteen year old boy,
Can't choose between lust and love.
Caught in a triangle,
Wants love,
But needs lust.
Love has something that the lust doesn't.
Guilty feelings race through his mind as he's f*****g lust on the side.
He leaves her house and calls up his girlfriend.

The girlfriend gets suspicious of his activities.
He lies and tells her something else.
Silly fool believes him.
She tells him that he's the only one for her,
He tells her the same,
Even though that in his heart she isn't the only one.
His cell phone rings.
Love hears it.
"Who is it?" she asks
He looks at the number...it's lust.
"My friend. I gotta take this. Talk to you later, babe" He responds.
Yet again she believes him.

Lust talks things he wants to hear and she knows it.
She knows that she makes him unfaithful
It was her mission.

One day he couldn't take it anymore.
He thought the only way he could escape was to escape.
His mother came in the bathroom.
She screams and runs downstairs.
"What's wrong?" asked her husband.
"He's dead..." She answers.
"Who took his life?"
"His own hand." tears pouring down her cheek.
