Lost in Psychosis

Lost in Psychosis

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

Lost in a labyrinthine decaying market

Guided along by a Winter Wonderlands changing colors

Black snow forms ice beneath my feet

Each corner a larger cluster of zeroes passes me by

Dark souls and blank eyes receding into numb existence

They're following me, begging not for salvation

They want to silence my song

Evade! Escape! Finally loose yet not quite free

Seeking sanctuary on the outskirts of a park

The ditch is stretched out long, far and wide

Even below their sight, there is still no place to hide

A simple experiment in self induced hypnosis

Has taken control to the point of psychosis
