Something NewA Poem by Jeremy Michael WhiteStarted off strange with a little mystique Loneliness and pain wrapped in plastic Holding in and suffocating Thinking it is right But it'll only hurt you more
Then after so long enslaved in silence Sanity's gone, Reason sits in blindness Scared as hell and halfway shaking This may not be right But I can't be hurt any more
Oh, I know that there have been subtle hints you've given And I know why you're so prone to hesitation Oh I know that this may get rough but I know we'll pull through And it'd be something new unlike anything before
Let me be clear yes I know it'll end We'll go our ways ready to start again Memories will not be fading It could have been wrong But we'd had never known before
There were some days that were really dark Sitting alone on a swing at the park Taking space until day is breaking But it wasn't wrong Forget the dark because the beauty grew more
Oh, I know that there have been subtle hints you've given And I know why you're so prone to hesitation Oh I know that this may get rough but I know we'll pull through And it'd be something new unlike anything before
I always remember you and I hope you'll remember me We'll reflect on those greatest of times wherever we shall be I'll still sing my songs for you even if stranded out to sea Those molecules of memory will dance for eternity
But when the most beautiful of planets and stars do die We'll still have made our imprint up in the sky, yeah
Oh, I know that there have been subtle hints you've given And I know why you're so prone to hesitation Oh I know that this may get rough but I know we'll pull through And it'd be something new unlike anything before © 2012 Jeremy Michael WhiteReviews
