Rhyme and B

Rhyme and B

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

So disruptive

So self-destructive, yeah

So afraid to live and let live

Too shy to take and not give

Stabbed in the side by a shiv

Take the easy road out

On the path to the hard way

Onto the darker days

Descending sometimes pays

Lessons from loathful lays

But its all just like a tunnel

An upward flying funnel

Symbols on the walls stretching down the halls

Leading intuition to inhibition to keep on wishing

for the stars to come down from the sky

Illuminate the brain in tune with the minds eye

The minds eye...What is this?

Some supernatural force - or just divine business?

It's nothing

But you, yourself, and Me and I

 It's everything compacted

 Like a table-swatted fly

So stuck in emotion

Drinking poisonous potion

Rub down with venomous lotion

Caught in an irrational notion

The cat lies down and stretches out

Purrs resound within the storage unit

Connection in moment, distant overall

Not necesarrily, yet sometimes true

This is for the lost and lonesome lover who's

been buried beneath a burning boudoir

banging his brain behind a banished bounty

butting his beliefs beyond bare beauty

bidding on bets of bountiful bombardment

 bountiful bombardment of bad beginning
