The Castle of Apollo

The Castle of Apollo

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

Pass the guns on your way out of the gate

Say goodbye to this gated community of shipping boxes

As the poison passes through the dollar

You are now energized

Eyes roll back in the middle of a holler

Everything is mesmerized

Step up to the marvelous castle of Apollo

Pass through the entrance, into the smoke and mirrors

Just like riding a waxy slide

You enter a new world

As the curtain opens side to side

Life is twisted and curled

Now faced with a decision

To let go or turn back

Looking at both options

The answer is apparent

Noone around to give advice

Think it once and think it twice

The beauty reaches out and caresses you

Nothing you can do - it posseses you

Give in!

Indulge yourself!

Never look back!

The past is in black!

Marriage of vivid color and raw emotion

Imagination is the name of the game

Humanity the foundation

Love, the ultimate desire
