United We're Torn

United We're Torn

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

In my eyes a burning vision haunts every image in my head

In my skies the sun is brighter, but we like to keep it overcast

Now you all feel the punishment, suffer the deadly toll

As we drain through the funnel, it's all over, there's no control

No Control

Only Variables

Ever since the first collapse

Our hands have been tied behind our backs

We were all still working

Toward our own fate, a life of nothing

Subjected to the barbarism of irrational savages

Blind all the streams that light the prism, all goes in and nothing comes out

It's certainly no accident, we've only asked for more

As well fall down the tunnel, it's all over in our own war

Our own war

United we're torn
