Infinite Night

Infinite Night

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

Racing down the alley of eternal madness

Miles from the highway that will take me there

Cruising to the end but not without a detour

This time I'm lost and straying further away

Is there not a sanctuary?

There's no end in sight

Dead end road, shadowed & scary

Ghosts come alive in infinite night

Spirits lefts behind encircling my head

Terrifying voices always screaming in my ear

Now I can only wish that this is a dream

That this might be eternal I refuse to accept

Is there not a sanctuary?

There's no end in sight

Dead end road, shadowed & scary

Ghosts come alive in infinite night

Isolated, and so desolate

Never felt so dark and desperate

Senses adjust to perceive the black

One foot forward and no turning back

Accept this condition, continue to fight

Against any chance of escape -

- - lost in the infinite night
