The Glance, A Song

The Glance, A Song

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

Standing at the base of two electrical towers -

Soaking up the unique current of each

Two rough paths stretch endlessly before me -

To a destination I may never even reach

To choose a side based on uncertainty

To free the inside of insecurity

To walk a path and take a chance

If only just to catch a glance

How lost I've become and torn between worlds -

Every moment a petal falls from the flower

If the first path dead ends and I return to the next -

Will I give up, or will I maintain the power?

To choose a side based on uncertainty

To free the inside of insecurity

To walk a path and take a chance

If only just to catch a glance

to catch a glance

to catch a glance

To catch a glance of heaven and infinite bliss

A spinning timeless vortex, never seen a sight like this

Let it go out of control

Let it consume the whole soul

Let it take me on a roll with a rock and a glow

To choose a side based on uncertainty

To free the inside of insecurity

To walk a path and take a chance

If only just to catch a glance
