An Attempt To Solve A Problem

An Attempt To Solve A Problem

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

This is a maze with some really high walls

Easy to get lost down those indigo halls

Think you've found the exit but it's only more stalls

Cue the loudspeaker; now the gentleman calls -

"The wearing of new shoes is only a job.

Pick up your feelings, don't leave them out like a slob.

Why don't you leave and forget the puzzle?

Just scale the walls with a grip and a hustle."

Up and away and out and free

Leaving behind unsolvable mystery

looking ahead with a glance and a tear

that was but a moment in an entire year

Bound to breathe and sweat and cry

As oxygen thins in a bluer sky

Focused on the low, still flying high

It's like and being born to instantly die
