Round 'Em Up

Round 'Em Up

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

Round 'em up! The dead, the gone, the lost, and the passsed

A lunar eclipse, the sobbing angels, and the deep dream won't last

Where in the search for it all did something come up missing?

Cries, shouts, and pleas for help..But no one is listening

No one is listening but everyone can hear. Write on the walls

with new ink that couldn't be more clear

Hitherto! Hitherto! Freedom was trapped in a rage

Intentions were good, Outlook was bad, living the words on a page

that can't be erased. Howling humans foaming and seething

for some sort of mental equivalent to teething

Round 'em up and give them something to chew on

Round 'em up and give them something to draw from

Round 'em up, all of them, even the residual

Them split them up, down to only the individual

It will take good time, this concept, to understand

Infinite, Intimate, the innate heroism in Man(kind)

Round 'em up and tell 'em all!
