Sitting, Silent, and Calm

Sitting, Silent, and Calm

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

Silent and calm in the dawn of the morning
Loud as a bomb through the heat of the evening
Musky and raining as the storms are rolling in
Means the circus is about to begin

Sitting in the eye of a cyclone
Madness circling all around
Hear the footsteps coming
And see the voices running
Running to the sky from the ground

Crooked and loose are the plates of the earth
Bloody and crying are the sounds of the birth
Fighting and looting in the city of the sin
Means the circus is in full action

Winds are blowing, lights are glowing
All the true feelings are showing
Watching as the world around them dies
Children screaming, poets dreaming
All religions eyes are gleaming
Praying for the devils last demise

And all the while, im all alone
Mind so crystal clear
My vision quest has been the best
Time to fly away from here
Put behind the greatest fear
Sitting still, don’t shed a tear
And all the while, im all alone

Sitting in the eye of a cyclone
Madness circling all around
Hear the footsteps coming
And see the voices running
Running to the sky from the ground
