Burning EyE

Burning EyE

A Poem by Jeremy Michael White

This green marsh on the black sea
6 and 7 spell misery
At a hot rest stop on the side of a
Flying highway " nothing runs

In a contemplative state
Your body begins to relax
Recline down to an awkward slouch
Dismiss the s**t & slip away

While I’ve been debating with Jesus
And you’ve been battling with Allah
Close the lids over my lens
And there’s that burning EyE again

From the burning eye no one can hide
It lies inside with smug and pride
This intro vision only appears when
The lids shut and the world disappears

Fiery static " concentric waves
Condense along an oval tunnel
Ultra high frequencies constantly
Combusting fiery energies

Darkness consumes like the night sky around the moon
Except it’s the burning EyE

But for a partial time relative to what comes to pass
It watches cloaked in hallucinations
As fantastic worlds are unveiled
Mysterious, magical, morose, nostalgic
Sometimes
For a cigarette or a show the visions persist
Evolving, eroding, running together
Seemingly timeless and beyond natural law
A circular labyrinth on a straight line
Are they messages?

Now im drinking tea with Ghandi
And youre sipping sap with Buddha
Close the lids over my lens
And theres that burning EyE again

Slip in and recall the s**t
Sit back up and stretch
Body become tense again
Contemplation fades out dull
And remember the hellish hole of

This green marsh on the black sea
6 and 7 spell misery
At a hot rest stop on the side of a
Flying highway " nothing runs
Nothing ever runs
Nothing ever f*****g runs this way
