Actions No Longer or Neither did

Actions No Longer or Neither did

A Poem by Capaneus

Actions no longer speak louder than words

    Absurd

    Truth’s a subjective word?

    obsurve

    Obama got the peace prize

    Clinton did it too

Both have killed more people than Sorrenios or bird flu

    Did Gandhi cap somebody?

    Was Teresa packing heat?

Or just the prizes gotten petty from the standards in deplete

Patience is no longer a virtue I’ve heard

    Preferred

    To actions that are blurred

    Perturbed?

    That’d make life absurd

People picking paths like poultry pecking birds

    Sniffing powders

    Squawking louder

    Popping pills when they’re disturbed

    Justifying say

Things have always been this way when the only constants change

    Devoid of contemplation

    Divulged in conversation

The less they got to say the more they will

    While the politics of pity

    Pass it down the line

I see the point of no return

but is that front or far behind

A fallacy that logically had been quite well defined

But an urgency’s unclear to see until we’re out of time

Still the ballot feeds the belly that is belching ‘time to dine’

    Heading head long into it

    manacles and blinders on

Dragging parasites, neophytes, and monsters wrong along

Having never gone this far without a purge

The good pretend that vermin end at sermoned words

It does not matter to the Truth how you will feel

    The cliff is real

And the B******s have the wheel

    Endowed inalienable right to pursue

But get caught chasing aliens and they’ll slap cuffs on you/span>

Far worse that they’d think it then to think that it’d be true

    so Space Ranger

    Living in a dream

How long before you’ve pissed away the last of all your means

How long before reality will rip you at the seam

    How long before survivors say

    God damn he looks tasty

Oil or water or food goes first

What will the grandkids starve for?

Cause the circle of life will not sustain an endless drive for more

The facts are plain you sick dumb b***h

    Famines, floods, and war

    7 billion walk this world

    Soon there’ll be a score

Itchy rashes, acid rain, pus filled oozing soars

like rabbits on a life raft f*****g their way for shoar

    Potable water from poison puddles

    Perfect proteins from scum

    We’ll survive the coming catastrophe

    if Been the only one

This makes the end of the world seem much more...digestible. Great, piece.
