Circles

Circles

A Poem by Capaneus

Built, bought, bred and brung every thing

I branded, banded, planted and sanded each spring

Fought towns, broke crowns, rebounded scheming

I've done all that I've done

    I did it for circles

Got brawn, brains, brand unbreakable things

Then built bombs better to blow up those things

Made risk, rent, rail, retractable wings

    But all I've really done

    Runs in a circle

    Cracked, cured, conquered, created nothing

I played, paid, pleaded, pretended to sing

I fleeced, flayed, fled, philander funding

To pray that I may plunge,

    Into a circle

Bing bang boom, a brand new disease

    Let willywangloon,

    Now bed bugs and fleas

Caught dingy dang doom from dignitaries

And still without round I'd drown

    I'll die without circles

I bet you had fun writing this - it's great just to play with words for a change. I enjoyed not having to struggle to understand what its all about.
Well done,
Alan
