Daydreaming

Daydreaming

A Poem by ChrisP

And so, this sounds got me dizzy again

This door frame’s a mockery

To bring in all the same

And as the breeze blows the pages

And the people walk by

We’re not free, until summer arrives

And so, the bladed grass speaks in its tongue

Another story to tell

Another time, we’ve began

And each melancholy answer

Appears to just be the same

Until the years all just blend into days

All these stories taunt all who behave

And all the street lamps and pavement

Can’t keep asking my name

So in this deaf time before us

And the cloud covered sky

We can cry for in every line

And so, to tell of this we all need to sing

A melody of sad songs

Or of hope and wanting

To explain to the public

That there’s more than they see

From the sky and the grass and the tree’s

Very, very good! I reached the end of the fist verse (sorry, incorrect terminology? :( ) and went, "OH!" After reading it a couple of times, I think it really stuck in my brain. Good job! Wonderful piece.
