Samurais and Tides

Samurais and Tides

A Poem by Vin

Taste the end of my blade

Blood splatter slowly being washed

away from the sand by the waves

The calamity of our battle only

left me to watch you fade

A dear friend now nothing more

than chum or simple bait

I guess you get the last laugh brother

Though I cut you down

It is I that now has to carry this weight

The fact that I'm why you were slain

Now I have to go on living only

to carry this pain

A painful experience indeed between brothers or friends. The cutting, bleeding and then carrying the pain. Hard when you are left to watch others fade...Excellent Vin...:).

You hit the nail on the head, someone I once called brother though we weren't. People change.
