Healing

Healing

A Poem by Kaspar Carr
"

do people now all of you? or just parts?

"
I stitched myself back together today,
My very own Frankenstein creation,
A monster born of selfish creation,
Scars treasured into eternity.

They'll all think they know me,
But they don't, they can't,
They only know parts of me,
We're all guilty of superficial judgments.

They all took pieces of me,
Traveling through lives I didn't want to know,
But tolerated,
Because I was never whole.

It couldn't last forever,
The dark of night eventually ends,
And light reveals all we are,
If you wish to see it.

I've never known a better day,
Pieces healing, now intact,
Jagged lines of bitterness,
Fading into love.
