Sweet-peaA Poem by Kaspar Carrwe are have had this moment with that favorite grandparentThe old man lit his pipe with a fluttering match,
and heard her say; 'That's bad for your health.' He smiled because he knew, as all old folk do. Most things in life are bad for you. Then turning to look along the park bench, a single salty tear fell in reverence. The girl stared deep into a small mirrored square, that sent spangles of light to dance in her hair. Pouting her lips as if to kiss, she traced each eyebrow with a fingertip. Standing slowly she smoothed her dress and turned to him smiling like a princess. 'Shall we walk together grandad?' 'Yes Sweet-pea, let's walk he said. © 2011 Kaspar CarrAuthor's Note
