Beautiful Death

Beautiful Death

A Poem by Kaspar Carr
"

i am leaving in peace

"

When the sun sets behind me,
when the moon is only rising,
when the starlight begins shining,
that is when I'd like to go.

When the eastern winds are blowing,
When the water stays free-flowing,
When I am glad with knowing,
it is my time to go.

In the darkness kneeling,
casting circles, deeply feeling,
when I've met my life's true meaning,
I will have seen my time to go.

I will say to those that love me,
that I fear no death today,
I have never feared death,
and it is my time to go.

So love because it's special,
cry because it's natural,
laugh because it's actual,
it is my time to go.

I really like the first two stanzas... actually got a little chill. This is beautiful. It would be nice to have a continuation.
