Monster

Monster

A Poem by Kaspar Carr
"

the monster is comming for me

"

The thoughts that I should
never think always find a
way inside my core.
Leaking a heavy dose of
hatred making every
happy memory rot like
flesh in the presence of
cyanide.

Your claws hook on
to the pleasure I once
called home and drag
me into the deepest
parts of hell. I scream
just to drown out the
screaming from the past.
I am not safe inside
my own mind, where
the monster resides.
