My shadow follows a special somebody;
The person, that nobody wants to know.
She wears her frown down inside herself;
As she lost her pretty smile; so long ago.
Her name is; best kept a secret to us all;
As nobody will need to say it anytime soon.
Her arms are scarred with innocent white,
And arms as crimson; as the fullest moon.
Mentioning this persons name will hurt you;
And it would most likely, make you cry.
Her voice is so sweet and colourful to me;
Like a brand new mothers; sweetest lullaby.
Her reflection seems to annoy her today;
When she seeks, she knows what she'll find.
Those perfect imperfections in her smile;
But all beneath her mask, is a darker kind.
She holds out her hand; for you too reach;
As she knows her time will come someday.
Secrets lie inside her homemade battlefield;
And the damage it costs; will never get to pay.
Mind-full memories she hates to come across;
As her arms remind her where she's been.
Each moment is a living disaster for this girl;
Not full of happiness but something more mean.
Her accomplishments didn't make her fight;
Because of all the dark scars her fingers trace.
The brown eyes that ruin a mans appetite;
Each night; the hunger she is forced to face.
The memorable moments that she still sees;
Left the rainbows, near the ocean, for a disguise.
So they'll be distracted from the beautiful sites,
And walk away from the disraught inside her eyes.
Feeling like she's sinking & sick of all the pain;
Each breath has been taking her for awhile.
But if you really want the truth inside her life;
You've got to look; deep beyond the burning smile...
