He Thinks

He Thinks

A Poem by Kaspar Carr
"

He thinks its simple as that.

"

I wonder if she’ll be
Here today. I would see
Her smile at half past
Nine, but it could be the last

Time for a while now.
Maybe I’ll hide. But how?
Behind the door post
Would work. She’ll boast

About something that
Means nothing and pat
Her hair in reassurance
Of my mere occurrence

At the edge of the door.
I couldn’t have any more
Of a grin on my face,
And I now I seem to rest my case.

"Her hair in reassurance/Of my mere occurrence" Those two lines really got me... Pretty good poem, I really like this. Is it about Jossie?.. (if that's how you spell her name lol)
