DetachedA Poem by Kaspar Carrif only.. i could feel this all the time..
Everyone is gone and i am alone,
the faucets screech as the bath fills. The cold of steel isn't what i expect, Dull but sharp......with no pain. The water is warm, turning rose red as my essence spills, family, old loves, mistakes and joy all flash before me like drop frame video. My eyes both closed and open as each limb numbs inevitably, finally my struggle is over, my rest is coming as the pain fades and I float above the tub watching detached. © 2012 Kaspar CarrAuthor's Note
