Sheet RockA Poem by Kaspar Carrthe history begins with a shadowThrough a dirty window sits an empty room.
How empty can be made a tomb And long since faded of her sweet perfume. Under black light blooms bright and true. A room embraced by moons bright beams But never could part with her terrified screams. And yet, it seems passed screams and beams, Lies ghostly shadows of a young boys dreams, 'Flashlights shining down the block And searching steps along sidewalks.' But lights can't shine through sheet and rock So, forever he lays with his face in shock. © 2012 Kaspar CarrAuthor's Note
