Three Benefits Of Exercising Everyday

Three Benefits Of Exercising Everyday

A Story by CandydThoughts

The three benefits I found to be beneficial in my life. Though there are a lot of benefits to daily exercise, these three things stood out for me the most.

"
Another post about exercising daily?! Please stop.
I hear it now "Yes I know its great for my health" "Yes I lose weight" " Ugh another post about how it empowers you and gives you confidence" Well yes and no, believe it or not most people who frequent the gym are very unhealthy or give unhealthy advice to people. A lot of people exercise every day and barely lose the weight they want. And most people who are so called "Empowered" or "Confident" are actually very self-conscious and have only a confidence that relies solely on how there body looks.

I am not saying that this is everyone, but alas I want to give you something fresh to read, I want you to see the three benefits I saw in myself in the last 10 years of exercising everyday.

I should start by saying I am a registered ISSA certified personal trainer (Though it did expire four years ago ahem) but I guess I wanted to tell you I am sort of validated to tell my personal benefits to exercise. Does throwing out an expired paper card that I studied for online help my cause? Probably not but will get to the benefits already.

1.) It shows discipline.
What do I mean by that? As someone who has been dedicated to regularly exercising everyday for the past 10 years, you tend to see people go strong for the first 3-6 months and they slowly start finding excuses not to go and exercise. As with all things we want to better ourselves, but there are times when we just start making excuses on why we do not need to do it. "Okay but I eat chocolate everyday so that is discipline" Well you can say that, but by eating a block of chocolate though it is delicious it is just you instantly gratifying your pleasure. Not just in working out doing something that you know is beneficial for you in the long run can be exhausting. I understand we are in this age where we get a lot of things fast and sometimes in an instant. But doing something like exercise even though it seems pointless and hard its proven to be beneficial if you do it everyday. I go to the gym everyday if I cant make it I do a little workout in my house. And what I noticed in myself is that even when I had ups and downs happen in my life I still made everyday exercise like brushing my teeth twice a day. Sometimes you need instill a daily discipline that you have to do in your life, and hey it doesn't even need to be exercise. But at least you will have rock solid abs to show how "disciplined" you are.

2.) Taking up new physical activities.
Do you ever just want to jump into any sport and not worry about your strength and speed? Do you ever want to carry your significant other for that "instashot" without pulling a muscle or want to join in on that mountain hike? Well with every one being "fit" helps with all of these. I have noticed people that wanted to try a sport out, but by not being fit they were to insecure about embarrassing themselves on not being able to keep up. I remember just last week I was playing my first basketball game, I was completely atrocious in the game and did quite embarrass myself not knowing much on what to do and always passing the ball to the wrong person, but by being fit I lasted the whole game without really breaking a heavy sweat (Maybe because I was just a body blocker the whole time) but the point I am trying to make is that exercising everyday lets you jump into things, it enables you to do more and try more. Also I am not saying non-fit peps can do these things I am just saying you tend to be more prepared for physical activities that come your way, which leads to awesome experiences.

3.) Its a healthy way to get away from your problems for a bit.
Probably one of the most underrated thing about exercise. YES the last benefit is "healthy avoidance" We all have problems in our lives and we all sometimes just want to collapse into a ball and have someone stroke our head and tell us "Eurting will be aight" (I always picture Bob Marley) And sometimes it is best to take some time before trying to a solve a problem or face an obstacle. You don't even need to go to the gym for this. 30 minute run outside will unfog your mind and make you think sharper. 1 hour in the gym can make you think logically without really tackling the issue head on, I remember I was having a argument with my Ex and she couldn't see my point of view, instead of blowing up like I usually did I went to the gym for a couple hours, pounded the heavy bag with anger, lifted weights and tried to calmly think on how to solve the issue with her. it ended up her calling me on the phone and telling me she was sorry. That space helped. Sometimes we do need space before we tackle an obstacle and I found exercising helped me think sharper and still benefit me while I avoid the problem for a little.

That's it! Even though there are a lot of other benefits these are the ones that I decided to write about. I do hope you enjoyed this.
