Camp Scarlet -CHAPTER ONE-

When Vega Season signs up to go to Camp Harper to be a counselor, things take an unexpected turn for the worse. She and her friends accidentally go on the wrong bus, to the wrong camp. Camp Scarlet.

Vega woke up. It was the first day of summer vacation! She jumped up from her bed. It's finally summer vacation! She thought. No more homework, or teachers, or any worries for three whole months! She pulled on her pants and a shirt. She went downstairs to eat breakfast. "Hey sweets! It's the first day of summer vacation, what do you have planned today?" Her mom, Madelyn, asked. "I don't know, bum around?" Vega said with a grin as she tied her red converse. "Wait, Vega. Aren't you going to be a counselor at Camp Harper this summer?" Vega stopped lacing her shoes and looked at her mom. "Oh! I forgot! I'm being a counselor with Dakota, Ella and Sophie!" Her mom laughed, chopping up hot dogs. "Well, have fun! When are you going again?" Vega stood up. "I'm going in a week, I believe." "Okay. Oh! By the way, I'm making spaghetti, your favorite!" Vega grinned. "Yes! Thanks mom!" Vega said, opening the door. "No problem, sweets. Where you heading?" "To Dakota's house. We're going to plan stuff for Camp Harper and then we're going to the mall." "Okay, bye, sweets!"

Vega rang the doorbell to Dakota's house. Dakota's brother, Justin, opened the door. "Oh, hey, Vega! Dakota's downstairs in her room. Ella's already there with her." Vega kicked her shoes off. "Okay, thanks, Justin!" She ran downstairs to Dakota's room. "Hey guys! What's up?" Vega said, opening the door out of breath. "Vega! We're just planning out the stuff we need for being counselors at Camp Harper!" Ella said, her eyes glued to her iPhone. Vega grinned. "Planing stuff, or going on you phone?" Ella looked up. "Both!" Vega's grin spread wider. "Where's Dakota?" Ella pointed to Dakota's closet. 

"What are you doing, Dakota?" Dakota looked up, spooked. "Oh! Vega! Good you're here! I need your help. Help me pick out which shirt to bring to the camp!" Dakota held up two shirts. "This one with the unicorns," she said pointing to one shirt, "or this one with the sequins and glitter?" Vega studied the two shirts. " Definitely the unicorn one. It looks more sturdier, so it won't rip apart when doing anything, er, dangerous? Also it has unicorns on it!" Dakota giggled, picking the shirt up and placing it into her suitcase.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. "SOPHIE'S HERE!" Dakota, Ella and Vega all said in unison.
