this was today. 5/12/2011. in the moment.

Nineteen years ago I held you in my arms.

My little niece, so precious and new.

You held my hand, gave me a little smile, in the moment.

Ten years ago you riding your bike,

so independent, you are the big sister 

to your two little brothers in the moment.

Five years ago you are in junior high

you walk to my house from school after practice

staying over when ever you could, in the moment.

Today we go shopping, have lunch, 

spend the day laughing at each other trying on hats,

just enjoying each others' company, in the moment.

Hold on to the moments, every little one.

Hold on to the memories, cherish them

Hold on to their hands as long as you can in the moment
