Inside these wallsA Poem by Candy S. BottWhen we were younger I built these walls to block out the pain to keep away from disappointments I wanted to keep you inside with me I was afraid you would let me down and hurt me too. I became so scared I kept Everyone out I pushed even you out I let in only people that I expected nothing of I expected them to disappoint me and they did and that hurt I became very weary I was lonely and you were there Right outside the walls as you always were Knocking on my door was this opportunity to let you in again And So I did! It has been only you and I inside these walls ever since and ever will be! © 2011 Candy S. BottReviews
